I wish I would have come across your article sooner. This worked perfectly. I used a standard USB connection and certain keys aren't functioning I have an extra apple keyboard. Ànd, I connected the spare one and it won't work at all. Keep trying and get the right fix for your problem.

Type the key on the keyboard that doesn’t respond and see if the corresponding key highlights on the Keyboard Viewer.
