App Store updates we a no go for 10.10.4, iTunes, and Garageband. If I just plain restarted, nothing gets installed or updated at all. Rebooted and then ran "softwareupdate -i iTunesXPatch-12.2". I had to reboot to be able to install it (don't know why) and, after that, the update mark was still on on the Mac Store icon. Your suggestion finally did the trick when I needed it most! It's located in a rather hidden folder in "/var/folders/zz".
